Articles of the Week
Articles of the Week will be provided on Monday and are due on Friday of non-vocab quiz weeks. All Articles of the Week will require thoughtful annotations in the margins in which readers essentially "talk to the text" and write their thinking process while they are reading.
After annotations are completed, students will have an assignment that they staple to the article. This assignment includes but is not limited to a one page minimum written response, a thesis statement, a window quote, a new title for the article, etc. Articles of the week will be discussed on Thursday when articles are due. Students are responsible for annotating their articles and completing the assignment on their own.
