Edgar Allan Poe uses a lot of challenging vocabulary in his works.. Take notes from the following online powerpoint of the meaning of all the vocabulary for "Cask of Amontillado." This is due on Monday. By Friday the 15th at 4 pm, you need to use ONE vocabulary word to write at least ONE sentence to begin or continue a scary tale. No repeats of the vocabulary word and it MUST have a HS appropriate rating. Here is the website: http://www.authorstream.com/Presentation/straitsm-1961509-cask-amontillado/. Think of a place in the greater Stevensville area that you have an emotional connection to. This can be a restaurant, park, beach, school, neighborhood, etc. It should be somewhere that every classmate has a fair opportunity to guess. Describe the place using descriptive details that enhance the mood you associate with this place. Do not tell what the place is as we will respond by guessing what place you are describing. Your description should be a minimum of 3-5 sentences Choose one of the topics within your heart map as your first writing piece. It should be something REALLY important to you. In a minimum of 300 words, share something about you. It can be written in first person or 3rd person and in any style of writing you wish to explore (poetry, diary entry, newspaper/editorial piece, song, etc). Happy writing! |
