Gearing Up for Instructional Coaching!
An Instructional Literacy Coach helps teachers recognize what they know and can do, helps teachers become more effective at what they know and can do, and supports teachers as they know more and do more for kids. A literacy coach provides support to teachers by:
*researching and discussing theory underlying instruction
*demonstrating lessons and activities
*observing teachers practicing new lessons or observing students
*providing feedback and reflection about instruction
*supporting collaboration among teachers
Throughout the school year, I will be adding images, helpful links to the pages, and will be putting vlog posts on this site. Let's study and improve our practice together!
You can find me in the room inside of Lab 100G in the Media Center. Please email me at [email protected] to set up a time to meet along with any questions, positive feedback, and concerns. Being all over the building, this is the best way to reach me and automatically connects with my personal iPhone.
Thank you and I am looking forward to a great year!
